There’s more to building healthy gut bacteria than just your diet. The first ever study of it’s kind has shown that exercise boosts gut bacteria diversity.
When patients were given a pill containing 7mg of lycopene (the phytochemecal in tomatoes said to boost heart health) they had increased blood vessel function. Essentially, the pill increased the patient’s nitric oxide levels. Nitric oxidie helps dilate your blood vessels allowing for more blood flow.
Statins are associated with lower levels of physical activity in older men. Statins are commonly prescribed to help lower blood cholesterol levels but come with a plethora of side effects.
In other statin news: High dose statins increase the risk of diabetes. Take care of yourself – that way you don’t have to be on medications. Let food be your medicine.
There’s a lot of mis-information about the safety of e-cigarettes. They might be better than regular cigarettes but they’re still not healthy. A one year old was rushed to the ER after drinking e-cigarette fluid.
