Memorial Day: Paleo Recipes To Make Memorial Day Better

Memorial Day is right around the corner and marks the unofficial start of summer. With that in mind, food is a big ticket item for many people. Here are amazing Paleo recipes to help make your Memorial Day menu more complete.

1. Cashew and Beet Hummus PALEO BEET HUMMUS

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raw unsalted cashews, soaked and drained
  • 3 medium raw beets, about 2 inches in diameter, cooked, peeled, and roughly chopped beets
  • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup EVOO with extra for drizzling
  • 2 T tahini
  • 1 1/2 t kosher salt
  • 1 medium garlic clove, minced
  • freshly cracked black pepper

Ingredients:

  • 3 diced green onion, chopped

Taco Meat Ingredients: 

  • 1 lb grass fed ground beef
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 T dried oregano

  • 1/2 t onion powder
  • 1/2 t ground ginger

Bacon Guac Ingredients:

  • 4 sliced pastured, uncured bacon
  • 2 avocados
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped

  • 1/4 red onion, minced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
